Just as the destinations change, so do the tunes that take us there. Every month, I’ll add a new song to the travel playlist below. From native instrumental to lyrical pop, this is the music that reminds me to keep on moving…
*At its deepest, soul-stricking level, U2’s song describes a lonely quest for God in a battered world. Some folks say it’s about redemption, others hear salvation in the lyrics. To me, at some other level, it’s simply a song about our eternal search: for reassurance, for optimism, for the thirst that travel never quite quenches. “I went out there in search of experience/ To taste and to touch and to feel as much/ As a man can before he repents…”

Kelli, I like this idea. On my recent sojourn to the Dominican Republic (see backpack.creighton.edu)
the students introduced me to music that perhaps everyone else knows. Perhaps cliche, but there you are. I love “I Gotta Feelin'” and Shakira. I love the listen and read segments of the blog.
