Quotes For The Overdue Traveler

travel quotes for the overdue traveler

There should be a list for Unreachable Places. Not because they’re geographically remote, or too dangerous to visit, but because Fate repeatedly keeps them from appearing on our airline tickets.

“Maybe One Day List” we’ll call it. “Not Quite Yet…” or even “Long Overdue.”

Every traveler I know carries the name of a place they desperately wish to see; have planned to visit; keep suggesting with hopeful breath – only to find out the flight’s too expensive; there’s an event to attend elsewhere; the timing’s all wrong, it will have to wait.

Luckily, if traveling teaches us one thing, it’s patience.  Which is why, after 20-plus years of missed attempts, I’m finally heading south to Mexico! (Cue a sigh of “It’s about time!”)

May the following travel quotes remind us that all trips are possible, as long as we keep trying to take them…

The problem with Fate is that no matter how many times you call out to her, she has her own timing that’s irrelevant to whatever anyone else is doing. – Amy Neftzger

The timing of events is a splendor of wonder. – Lailah G. Akita

Patience is the calm acceptance that things can happen in a different order than the one you have in mind. – David G. Allen

Q: When is the perfect time? A: Who can say, but probably somewhere between haste and delay – and it’s usually most wise to start today. – Rasheed Ogunlru

travel quote about timing, Eddie Huang

Time is the longest distance between two places. – Tennessee Williams

Time is an illusion, timing is an art. – Stefan Emunds

Patience is power.
Patience is not an absence of action;
rather it is “timing”
it waits on the right time to act,
for the right principles
and in the right way. – Fulton J. Sheen

travel quote about timing, Darmie O-Lujon
