The trouble with becoming a travel blogger is not the absence of internet connection, nor the lack of spare time; it is the subtle but solid transformation from a holiday into a lifestyle. The thicker my existence is mired in the maps and backpacks of constant movement, the harder it becomes to detail my days.
At first, I suspected my life was simply too full… what remaining bits could I possibly capture in paragraph? Life, itself, was the outlet, not the analysis.
Instead, I’ve realized, I simply needed a fusion. Somewhere to combine travel with stationary in the exact same way my own situation has turned “temporary” into “permanent.”
In five weeks, I leave New Zealand for The Kingdom of Tonga. Hopefully, this new chapter will bring better, more frequent updates. (And a sun tan).
